Battery widget for Windows
The Windows tray icon gives you a percentage if you hover it. This widget puts the number where you can see it, adds how long you have left on battery or until full, and shows the figure laptop makers would rather you did not look at: current full capacity as a percentage of the design capacity, which is the honest measure of how worn the battery is. When the charge drops below your threshold while unplugged you get a Windows notification, once, rather than a nag every minute. On a desktop with no battery the tile simply says so.
