Dot Golf widget for Windows
The golf game people used to draw on graph paper, on your dashboard. Each notebook has three courses of eighteen holes drawn on a dot grid: fairway, rough, sand traps, water and stands of trees, with slope arrows that roll your ball one more space. In dice golf you roll a d6 for distance, plus one from the fairway and minus one from sand, then choose one of eight directions. In speed golf there is no die: driver moves six from the fairway, iron three, putter one. Land on the hole, or one space past it, and it counts. Six mulligans a course, a free re-roll on every tee, and in about a third of notebooks a Bigfoot hiding on one hole: spot him for a free mulligan.

A round resumes exactly where you left it, because the widget only saves the notebook number and a few scores and redraws the courses from that. The notebook number is on the tile, so two people can play the same eighteen holes and compare cards. Finished rounds count towards Arcade Stats alongside the other game widgets.
