Recycle Bin widget for Windows
One of the oldest desktop widgets there is, and still one of the most satisfying. The bin glyph visibly fills as the real Recycle Bin grows, the lid tilts open when there is something inside, and the colour shifts from blue through amber to red as it approaches the size you consider full. Under it: the item count and total size. Click anywhere to open the Recycle Bin in Explorer, right-click (or hit the button) to empty it, with a second-click confirmation you can switch off once you trust yourself. A fill-bar style is there for people who prefer a gauge to a cartoon.
