Screenshots widget for Windows
A screenshot tool and a gallery in one tile. Capture a region you drag out, a freeform shape you draw around, a single window, the whole screen, or the same area as last time, and the dashboard can step out of the way first so it is not in the shot. Add a delay to open a menu first, or take several shots in a row while you scroll or turn pages. Each capture can be saved to the folder you choose, copied to the clipboard, resized and stamped with the date and time, and a picture from any other tool can be pasted in. If you like, the Print Screen key can run one of these captures instead of Windows' own, or do nothing at all. Your latest screenshots sit underneath as thumbnails: copy one, move it to the Recycle Bin, turn it into an Image widget, double-click to open, or drag it straight out into a bug report, a chat or a doc. The Windows Snipping Tool is still in the widget's menu if you prefer it.
