Audio Visualizer widget for Windows
The desktop customisation classic, with nothing to install or configure beyond adding the widget. The widget listens to the system's own output (WASAPI loopback, so it works with any player and needs no microphone) and draws a live spectrum: log-spaced bands so bass does not hog half the bars, smoothing and sensitivity you can tune, peak markers that fall slowly, and four looks: classic bars, mirrored bars, an oscilloscope waveform and a radial circle. Colour follows your dashboard accent by default, fades with intensity, or goes full rainbow. When nothing is playing the bars settle flat, and when the dashboard window is hidden the widget stops drawing entirely so it costs nothing in the background.
